How It Works

How to Apply for Finance
1. Apply for your chosen Career Accelerator programme
2. If accepted, apply through the StepEx Application Portal
3. Complete identity verification and provide Open Banking access
4. If approved, complete the borrower upfront payment
5 Review and sign your financing contract
6. Start your Career Accelerator programme
Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility for StepEx financing is defined by both StepEx and the education provider.
To be eligible for finance you must be:
– 18 years or older
– Offered a place on the Career Accelerator programe
– Be a UK/EU citizen or resident with the right to work for at least one year post graduation
– Able to afford repayments
– Good financial history
– Not be on any sanctions or watchlists
– Not have a history of non-repayment of your financial obligations
Charges
1. Application Fee: £20
2. Borrower Upfront Payment: 10% of the tuition fees upfront
3. Monthly Subscription Fee: £1
4. Default charge: If you fail to make the required payments for 90 days we reserve the right to terminate your agreement in which case all outstanding repayments become due. We then reserve the right to pass the debt to a debt collector who will charge you for their costs of collecting the debt from you.
Conditions
The full terms and conditions of your financing agreement are set out in your credit agreement.
Outstanding payments: please be aware that if you have any outstanding payments to StepEx in relation to an ongoing Programme from this provider, we may notify the provider and they may take action at their discretion deem that this status with a credit provider should result in you not being able to complete that Programme or receive a final result or refuse to certify that you have completed that Programme, or refuse to issue any awards, until you are no longer delinquent on your repayments.
